Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson hit his 11th first-class century, leading India D to a total of 349 runs. Arshdeep Singh’s bowling prowess put India B in a tough spot at 210 for 6, even as Abhimanyu Easwaran scored his second century of the tournament.

India's T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav has recovered from a thumb injury and will play for India C against India A in the final round of the Duleep Trophy. This is significant as Surya is set to lead India in the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh starting October 6 in Gwalior.

Surya complained of a thumb injury before the pre-season Buchi Babu Invitational when he had problem in gripping the bat. The batter, however, has now been cleared and now will take part in the third and final round fixture.

Suryakumar Yadav missed the opening two fixtures of the Duleep Trophy 2024 after failing to recover from his thumb injury but is set to return to action with India B in the final-round clash against Shreyas Iyer's India D starting on September 19.
